I read Kuerwzil's book The Age of Spiritual Machines shortly after it was published and I particularly enjoyed his concrete predictions for each decade. I don't care if he missed the mark by a few years. If he had restricted himself to vague general predictions he might have gotten less criticism but the book wouldn't have been such a joy to read.
